Kuwait Labour Law chapter

Kuwait Labour Law Safety and injuries: Articles 80–97

Employee records, workplace safety and work injuries.

This section sets the employer's duties for a safe workplace and what happens when a worker is injured or falls ill because of work.

Employers must keep safety registers, tell workers about the risks of their job, provide protective equipment where the activity requires it, and protect workers from occupational diseases. Workers have their own duty to follow safety instructions.

When an accident happens, it must be reported, the injured worker must receive medical care, and their full wage continues during treatment. The law also sets compensation for work injuries and occupational diseases, and the cases where no compensation is due.

Practical step: keep an accident log, a list of the protective equipment each role needs, and the insurance details in one file that any manager can find quickly.
